Congratulations to Ringette Nova Scotia's 18+ Provncial Team for earning a spot at the Canadian Ringette Championships to be held in Saskatoon, SK from April 4-10, 2010.
On Sunday in Oxford, Nova Scotia, the team beat New Brunswick 4-1 in the fifth and deciding game of their series to determine the Atlantic region's representative at the national championships.
Kaitlyn Youldon and Brianna Thompson scored twice each to take care of the Nova Scotia scoring, while goalkeeper Leanne O'Hanley turned aside 21 of 22 shots from the New Brunswick team.
Ringette Nova Scotia's U16 and U19 teams will also be competing for titles at the Canadian Ringette Championships in Saskatoon.
