The Ringette Nova Scotia 2010 Provincial Awards Program is now underway with the formation of a Selection Committee that will work to identify candidates and select award recipients in the following categories:
- Coach of the Year;
- Official of the Year;
- Team of the Year;
- Athlete of the Year;
- Volunteer of the Year; and
- Association of the Year.
Award recipients in all categories must be registered members in good standing of Ringette Nova Scotia, and will have demonstrated extraordinary contribution to the sport or Ringette Nova Scotia, either through exemplary leadership, achievement, or other contribution. Award recipients will be notified by a member of the Selection Committee, and winners will be announced on April 6, 2010.
Provincial Awards Selection Committee members for 2010 are as follows:
Bruce Hennebury, Chair and Director of Promotions
David Cunningham, Central League President
Lindsay Bennett, Executive Director
Members of Ringette Nova Scotia may contact the Selection Committee via email at ringette@sportnovascotia.ca if they wish to recommend a potential candidate for a Provincial Award. All decisions of the Selection Committee will be final.
