RNS' Canada Winter Games Program is pleased to invite all ringette coaches to a Q&A with Ringette Canada's National Team head coach, Lyndsay Wheelans, at 10:30am on Saturday August 21st at St. Margaret's Center. This is a great opportunity for coaches to meet and learn from someone who has truly been a leader in our sport. ABOUT LYNDSAY WHEELANS
Lyndsay Wheelans has an outstanding track record in the game as both a player and as a coach and brings over 28 years of athletic and coaching experience to the national team. She was a player on the only Canadian team to ever win two consecutive world ringette championships in 1990 and 1992, head coach for Team Canada’s gold medal win in 1996 and assistant coach when Team Canada won silver in both 2000 and 2004. Wheelans also brought the Finnish National Team to gold as head coach during the 1998 Summit Series. In 2002, Wheelans was inducted into the Ringette Canada Hall of Fame in the coaching category and was also named Ontario Female Coach of the Year. Wheelans was born in Calgary, raised in Edmonton and now lives in Toronto, Ontario.
